IAZ is a collaboration of ten Dutch hospitals that bundle their procurement power to achieve demonstrably better results. By combining expertise, data and market knowledge, we secure favourable conditions and reliable supply for all members. Founded in 2009, IAZ was established to address rising healthcare costs. Since 2019, a dedicated core team has supported the hospitals, working for and with the members to guide joint initiatives and deliver tangible results. Our collective approach safeguards quality and continuity within the healthcare supply chain.
We work in a data-driven, structured and results-oriented manner. Every trajectory from market exploration to contract management follows a clear process with continuous alignment between the core team, local procurement professionals, users and suppliers. We are constantly looking for opportunities to improve: smarter, more sustainable and more effective.
The strategic direction of IAZ is jointly determined by the IAZ Board and the IAZ Director. Formal decision-making authority rests with the boards of directors of the affiliated hospitals. The core team is responsible for executing this policy in close collaboration with the hospitals, ensuring alignment between central agreements and daily practice.
